Build the Human Capital Community You Want to Be Part Of.
Human Capital Roundtable brings together HR professionals, people leaders, talent executives, business leaders, and workforce innovators for conversations that matter. Now we're building something even more local — across Los Angeles, Orange County, and the Inland Empire.
There's a seat at the table for you.
Human Capital Roundtable was built around a simple idea: the best conversations happen when the right people are in the room.
Our Chapter Leaders help create that room.
You'll work alongside other HR and business leaders to build relationships, develop programs, welcome new members, create partnerships, and grow a community where people can have candid conversations about leadership, talent, culture, business, and the changing world of work.
And while you're helping build the community, you'll be building your own leadership, relationships, and visibility along the way.

Five Leadership Areas. Ten Seats. One Mission.
Every HCR chapter is built around five core leadership areas. Each area has two leaders working together — because building community shouldn't depend on one person doing everything.
Chapter Leadership
Chapter President
Set the vision. Build the team. Lead the community. The President serves as the local leader and ambassador for HCR — establishing priorities, leading the chapter team, and building relationships with local HR and business leaders.
Chapter Vice President
Turn the vision into action. The VP coordinates initiatives, supports fellow leaders, strengthens operations, and helps develop the next generation of HCR leadership.
Membership & Community
VP of Membership & Community
Getting people through the door is one thing — making them feel like they belong is another. Lead efforts to grow the community, welcome new members, and strengthen engagement.
Director of Membership & Community
Be the connector. Welcome members, make introductions, gather feedback, support outreach, and help turn new connections into lasting professional relationships.
Programs & Events
VP of Programs & Events
Create conversations worth showing up for. Shape local programming — relevant topics, speakers, panels, roundtables, workshops, and experiences. Not another PowerPoint event.
Director of Programs & Events
Help bring those conversations to life. Support speakers, venues, programming, logistics, attendee experience, and chapter activities from idea through execution.
Partnerships & Sponsorships
VP of Partnerships & Sponsorships
Build relationships that strengthen the entire community. Develop partnerships with employers, universities, HR tech companies, professional service firms, and workforce organizations.
Director of Partnerships & Sponsorships
Turn introductions into relationships. Help identify potential partners, support outreach, coordinate sponsor relationships, and create shared value for HCR, members, and partners.
Marketing & Communications
VP of Marketing & Communications
Tell the story of the Roundtable. Lead chapter communications across LinkedIn, email, digital content, member stories, event promotion, and thought leadership.
Director of Marketing & Communications
Capture the people, ideas, and moments that make HCR different. Support social media, photography, video, member spotlights, event recaps, and email communications.
Who Should Apply?
You don't need previous board experience. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room. You don't need thousands of LinkedIn followers. You do need to care about people, leadership, and community. We're looking for professionals who are:
Our Chapter Leaders may come from Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Workforce Development, Operations, HR Technology, Employment Law, Education, Entrepreneurship, Executive Leadership, or other areas connected to people and business. What matters most is your willingness to help build something valuable.
Meaningful, Not Overwhelming.
We know you already have a career, a family, responsibilities, and a life outside of HCR. Chapter leadership shouldn't feel like another full-time job. We ask our leaders to participate consistently, attend leadership meetings, support chapter programs and events, contribute within their leadership area, communicate with their fellow leaders, and serve as ambassadors for Human Capital Roundtable. Some months will require more. Some will require less. What matters is showing up when it counts.
At HCR, we value contribution over titles.
How We Lead.
Community
Relationships come first. We create spaces where people build genuine professional connections — not simply collect business cards.
Collaboration
Nobody has all the answers. We bring smart people together to share experiences, challenge assumptions, and solve problems together.
Clarity
There's enough noise in business. Our conversations focus on practical ideas leaders can actually use.
Change
Conversation is the beginning. The goal is turning ideas into actions that create stronger leaders, workplaces, and communities.
Don't Just Join the Community.
Help Build It.
We're looking for people who believe relationships matter. People who believe HR deserves a stronger voice at the business table. People who are willing to introduce someone, welcome someone, mentor someone, organize something, share an idea, or open a door. If that's you, we'd like to meet you.

Don't Have Time for a Leadership Role?
You Can Still Have an Impact. Not everyone needs a title to contribute.
Human Capital is Human.
Organizations don't change themselves.
Cultures don't build themselves.
People don't develop themselves.
People make it happen.
Human Capital Roundtable exists to bring those people together. And as we grow across Southern California, we're looking for leaders who want to help us build what's next.
There's a seat at the table.
